Born in Wisconsin, Diane Drescher studied art and design at the University of Wisconsin. She continued her education in an accelerated one year program at the Fashion Institute of Technology in NY and went on to establish a successful career as a sweater designer. Trips to Europe over a 10-year period for the purpose of researching design trends provided an ideal opportunity to view art in the major museums of Paris and London. The experience of seeing first hand the paintings of Manet, Cezanne, and Gauguin re-kindled her desire to make fine art.

Diane's paintings have been described as "straddling the line between traditional and modern". Diane resides in New York City and maintains an art studio at the Garnerville Arts & Industrial Complex, Garnerville, NY.
